Face Mounted Bi-Part Barn Door Hardware

The Bi-Part Barn Door Hardware (Face Mount) by 1925Workbench is a dual-door sliding system in solid brass and steel that operates along a single continuous track. Two doors slide in opposite directions for opening and meet seamlessly at the centre when closed — maximizing space efficiency for wide openings.

For layouts requiring greater flexibility, a Bypass configuration is also available.

Designed and manufactured in Toronto by 1925Workbench. Patented in Canada and the USA.

Tracks are custom-cut to your exact length. Contact us with the following for a quote:

  • Style: Top Mount / Face Mount / Bi-Part
  • Finish: Brass / Raw Steel / Stainless Steel / Black
  • Length
  • Drilling: Pre-drilled or Not drilled

Specifications

  • Weight Capacity
  • Rated for doors up to 200 lbs per pair of hangers (actual capacity varies by wall structure and mounting method)
  • Pre-Drilled vs. Not Pre-Drilled
  • Pre-drilled holes spaced every 14.75"–17.25" along the track
  • Pre-drilled tracks must be mounted on a backing piece to clear baseboards or mouldings
  • Not pre-drilled tracks can install directly to the wall if baseboards are flush and adequate blocking is present
  • For Black Powder Coated "Not Pre-Drilled" orders, a 1.5" hole is drilled at each end for hanging during the coating process
  • Track Length & Measuring
  • Track length: order at least twice the width of the door plus a minimum 2" overlap on each side
  • Door should be 4" wider than the opening (2" overlap per side) and large enough to cover any door casing
  • Tracks over 93" ship in two pieces
  • Recommended headroom: 8"–10" (minimum 6")
  • Additional Components
  • Floor Guide — a small bracket mounted at the base of the door for alignment during operation. Highly recommended for stability. Available in Slot Guide or Clamp Guide styles.
  • Price includes hardware only. Door and header piece not included.

Materials

Crafted from solid brass, stainless steel, and hot rolled steel. High-quality solid brass rollers with double built-in ball bearings deliver smooth, quiet door motion.

Available Finishes

  • Solid Brass (light oil coat — will develop patina over time)
  • Stainless Steel (hand-brushed)
  • Hot Rolled Steel (raw, minimal treatment)
  • Matte Black (powder coated)

Suitable for outdoor applications — finishes will patina more quickly when exposed to the elements.
